General Foundation of Universitat de València obtained the seal of Member Body to the Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment Strategy 2013-2016 granted by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security as a recognition for its entrepreneurship and youth employment promotion through the university platform of crowdfunding Uniempren and the Professional Placement and Careers Advice (OPAL).
The Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment Strategy of the Ministry is a tool open to society, to which General Foundation of Universitat de València has joined aiming to contribute with its own initiatives to face the challenge of youth employment. In the case of OPAL and Uniempren, the first crowdfunding platform addressed to university entrepreneurs of Spain, as well as the members of the collectives and friends and former students within the state level.
Due to the results obtained with this labour, the Ministry has recognised the Foundation with its adhesion seal.
Strategy
The guidelines that take part of the strategy recognised by the central administration are the following: training, through eight training itineraries it is aimed to facilitate the job placement of the students of Universitat de València (it is estimated that will be 400 beneficiaries in this activity); orientation and improving of the intermediation of public employment services and their contributing entities; and in terms of opportunities, the socio-labour inclusion of people with functional diversity, in collaboration with the Unit for the Integration of People with Disabilities (with an estimation of 50 beneficiaries).
Besides, it has been recognised the promotion of entrepreneurship and self-employment made through Uniempren, whose main objective is to offer help to students and university graduates to get the financing that allows them to launch their business or social project. Besides, this platform of Universitat de València puts together crowdfunding, search of partners to complete work teams, search of volunteers for social projects, as well as a service dedicated to the collaborative social economy where entrepreneurships can look for other entrepreneurships to exchange, rent and/or share products and/or services. Also, it works as sponsor of other projects by the information offer and the advice to entrepreneur people.
