UV to promote university mobility outside EU

Office of the Principal

The Universitat has secured funding for Erasmus+ programme intented for countries outside EU. The Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) has approved 121 entry-and-exit mobility for undergraduate students and teaching and non-teaching staff.

Mobility is aimed at different geographic areas outside EU: Morocco, Tunisia, Israel, Serbia, Armenia and Ukraine, among others. This means an increase in mobility, thus, an increment in the international recognition of the institution.

On 6 June, the resolution of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) published the list of institutions of higher education which have obtained financing for Erasmus+ mobility learning programme.

Over 25 years, Europe has funded through Erasmus programme the mobility of more than three million European students to spend part of their studies in another institution of higher education in Europe. Erasmus+ now broadens these opportunities and allows the mobility between countries participating in the programme and associated countries of students as well as teaching and non-teaching programme. The so-called Programme Countries are those which fully take part in Erasmus+ programme and, therefore, have an established National Agency within their territory -SEPIE in Spain. These countries are the 28 EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the Republic of Macedonia and Turkey. The associated countries are the rest of the world.
