The VLC/CAMPUS International Campus of Excellence (made up by Universitat de València, Universitat Politècnica de València and the Spanish Research Council) decided to promote the “VLC/CAMPUS-STARTUP 2015 | Develop your business with UV and CSIC” programme , through which they intend to support the development of innovative and/or based-technology enterprises in the surroundings of VLC/CAMPUS, making available some spaces in the Scientific Park of Universitat de València and making access easier to the different support programmes for innovation and for the entrepreneur of the entities and agent organisms and collaborators. This call for the promotion of the innovative ecosystems is co-ordinated, in the field of VLC/CAMPUS, by the the Vice-Principal of Sustainability and Planning of Universitat de València and the Institutional Delegation of the CSIC in the Valencian Region.
The Spin-Offs and Start-Ups creation of based-technology based on knowledge is a critical fact for the present and future development of economics, but to be created, a network which gives support must exist and it must guarantee the viability of business initiatives. That is why, the VLC/CAMPUS International Campus of Excellence wants to establish an innovation methodology in which the assistants and public and private agents of their geographic area collaborate and compete by creating a favourable surrounding to the interchange of information, knowledge, values, human and financial resources, goods and services, stimulating and giving facilities for the transfer of knowledge, the promotion of activities which encourage innovation, or the creation of based-technology enterprises.
Any business initiative which is legally constituted and which has an seniority of less than 3 years, which presents an innovative project or which is based in knowledge, and in which at least is a member of the team promoter who is related to Universitat de València, the CSIC, or any other entity, research centre and enterprise which appears on the assistants map of the VLC/CAMPUS International Campus of Excellence will able to participate.
The lead time for the presentation of the request forms will start on the following day of the publication of this call in the Scientific Park webpage of Universitat de València and it will end on 30th April 2015 at 12:00h. The expected activities for the programme will be developed, at most, until 30th June 2016.
The participants of the programme will enjoy a space at the Scientific Park of Universitat de València which will be able to consist on accommodation, offices and labs. Furthermore, they will have a formative workshops cycle specially oriented to the entrepreneur of initiative business with a scientific-technology base organised by the Spanish Association of Scientific-Technologic Entrepreneurs. The Scientific Park Foundation of Universitat de València will also ease the participants of the programme the access to funding and support programmes to the entrepreneur of different entities and co-worker organisms.
This action counted with the funding of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport through the subprogram of strengthening the Campus of International Excellence programme.
