JOINT MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME TO OBTAIN THE MASTER’S DEGREE IN CREATIVE AND HUMANISTIC TRANSLATION BY THE UNIVERSITAT DE VALÈNCIA AND THE LAUREA MAGISTRALE IN LINGUE MODERNE E TRADUZIONI PER LE RELAZIONI INTERNAZIONALI BY THE UNIVERSITÀ DI PALERMO.
Students of this Master who take part in mobility programme –up until 6 students per academic year- can simultaneously obtain the Laurea Magistrale in Lingue Moderne e Traduzioni per le Relazioni Internazionali by the Università di Palermo and the Master’s Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation by the Universitat de València.
UV students who wish to enrol in this joint Master’s Degree Programme must be officially registered in the Master’s Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation and must have obtained any of the following degrees at the Universitat de València (or similar ones at other universities): Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, English Studies or Modern Languages and their Literatures. Students are also required to have a B1+ competence in Italian (according to the CEFRL), provide evidence of current payment of fees and be in possession of a visa or a residence permit.
If the number of applicants exceeds the places available per academic year (6), candidates will be selected in accordance with the following criteria: grade point average of the academic transcript of records presented to be admitted in the Master’s Degree Programme and a language competence in both languages higher than the required level.
The students selected will study at the Scuola delle Scienze Umane e del Patrimonio Culturale of the Università di Palermo. During their stay, they will be required to pass a minimum of 40 ECTS credits of the Laurea Magistrale in Lingue Moderne e Traduzioni per le Relazioni Internazionali. For enrolment, the “correlation table” and the joint Master’s Degree Study Programme below will be used as reference.
Besides, the students selected must be in possession of a health and liability insurance, which will be shown on arrival at the Università di Palermo.
