External Practices and Master’s Degree Final Project

The External Practices and Master’s Degree Final Project modules are carried out in the 2nd course.

External practices (9 ECTS) are developed between October-January. This involves a stay of 180 hours in the work placement destination plus additional work hours related to meetings with the tutor of the university, documentation work and development of a report.
The Master’s Degree Final Project (6 ECTS) doesn’t require face-to-face classes.

Part-time students:

The students who wish to take the Master’s Degree in a part-time basis should enrol in a minimum of 24 ECTS per academic year.

Regardless of the academic pathway chosen, students should take compulsorily the subject Planning and Research applied to special education (12 ECTS) consisting of the subjects 44497, 44498, 44499 and 44500. These subjects is the only one that will involve attending classes four days per week (from Mondays to Thursday), during the first six weeks of the academic year.

After this period of six weeks students can attend it only two days, which depend on the module and group in that they are enrolled. The last week of common subjects can require attending classes four days.

You can choose between
-Guidance and Intervention in learning and behaviour difficulties (15 ECTS; consisting of the subjects 44501, 44502, 44503, 44504, 44505)

-Intervention in Cognitive Disability (12 ECTS; consisting of the subjects 44506, 44507, 44508)

Regarding the OPTIONAL ITINERARIES, the half-time student should choose one of the two subjects, implying the attendance two days per week unless there is an exception related to some subjects that could require the attendance three or four days in the last week of the course.


- Hearing and Speech Itinerary

-TIC, Language Acquisition and Musical Expression in Hearing and Speech (9 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44509, 44510 and 44511.

-Intervention in the Hearing and Speech Disorders (12 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44512, 44513 and 44514.

- Therapeutic Pedagogy Itinerary

-TIC, Psychomotricity and Musical Expression and Visual Arts in Therapeutic Pedagogy. (10.5 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44515, 44516 and 44517.

-Attention to Individual Needs (10.5 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44519, 44520 and 44521.

- Attention to Disability Itinerary

-TIC and Disability (10.5 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44522, 44523 and 44525.

-Quality of Life (10.5 ECTS). Consisting of the subjects 44526, 44527 and 44528.
