Cinema at the frontier

Cinema cycle: Cinema at the frontier offers the projection of the following movies: -Legends of the Fall -Gladiator -Elling/Lincoln

Ambit Association in collaboration with the Department of Social Work and Services and the Faculty of Social Sciences invite us to establish dialogue around the suggested movie which presents people who have undergone extreme experiences as a consequence of the prison and isolation mental illnesses create. We strongly believe that this meeting may be useful for university students in order to recognise people outside a professional intervention sphere, and for people with diagnosed mental illnesses to find a place of symbolic recognition. Cinema at the frontier of two worlds thought as aliens and far, but close in terms of the emotions evoked from the proposed movies for each of the participants in the experience.

From the Faculty of Social Sciences, we present the movie cycle in which we will be able to watch:

-Legends of the Fall (28/10/2015)

- Gladiator (25/11/2015)

- Elling/Lincoln (16/12/2015).

After each projection, there will be a short colloquium.
