Exhibition at the Sala Martínez Guerricabeitia at the Cultural Centre of La Nau
The Sala Martínez Guerricabeitia at the Cultural Centre of La Nau hosts, from 23 October to 17 January, the exhibition ‘Fire and Word’ by Valencian Artist Mery Sales. The exhibition, which will open for the public on 23 October at 19:00, is thought of as an homage to Hanna Arndt’s political thought.
This exhibition, which is included in the series ‘Trobades amb la Col·lecció Martínez Guerricabeitia’, is intended to pictorially reclaim the essence of a daring and compromised discourse such as that of the German Jew Hannah Arndt, a woman who had the talent to understand atrocities at her time and the courage of talking about it live. Her voice transfers compromise and makes it indispensable in learning to identify the present from a specially restorative political perspective.
The exhibition catalogue will be made public through the Patronat Martínez Guerricabeitia and artist Mery Sales next 2 December in the Aula Magna at the Cultural Centre of La Nau, at 19:00.
