The fifth Passeig Saludable/La Nau Gran, which was initially organized on Sunday 30 November and was cancelled due to the rain, has already a new date: next Sunday 14 December. The itinerary and schedule are the same: it will start at 10:00 between the Botanic Garden and Charles Darwin Plaza. The Passeig is organized by the University Extension Service and the Physical Education and Sports Service of Universitat de València.
One of the novelties of this year was the enrolment that can be filled in through the IT platform Entreu.uv.es of Universitat de València. Now a new enrolment period will be available and it will be active until 12 December.
Being the objective to invigorate an active and open citizenship, in which elderly people find a space of participation and cohabitation, the individual inscription fee is 5 euros (4 euros in case of groups of at least 10 people), with a special 3 euros fee for families (3 members at least). All this to facilitate the intergenerational dimension.
The fifth Passeig Saludable holds as one of its strongest characteristic traits the solidarity with an organization of charitable nature. In this edition, in recognition to its task in defence of children in risk of social exclusion and by its programme against child poverty and helping school canteens of Valencia, the beneficiary entity is Save the Children, demonstrating once again the commitment of elderly people with the most underprivileged children.
