Next May 6 at 19: 30 hours takes place a new session of Science and Reeds, organized by the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community (Fisabio) of the Regional Ministry of Health, the Foundation for the Research of the Clinical Hospital of the Valencian Community (INCLIVA) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), the University of Valencia (UV) and the Delegation of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) in the Valencian Community.
On this occasion, Shalenys Bedoya, CSIC PhD student at the Climate, Atmosphere and Ocean Laboratory (Climatoc-Lab) of the Desertification Research Center (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA) will participate with a talk entitled “What the breeze did not take”.
In her talk, Shalenys Bedoya will explain how the warming of the Mediterranean is modifying the behavior of the sea breezes that cool us every summer: are they intensifying or, like us, are they going on vacation? She will also talk about their role in summer precipitation and some recent changes that invite the question: What place will they have in the summers to come?
The entrance to attend Ciencia y Cañas will be free until full capacity is reached and will take place at La Fábrica de Hielo (Calle José Ballester Gozalvo, 37, València).
The “Science and Reeds” project is supported by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Science and Innovation.
