The Biblioteca d’Educació has organised the talk “Memory without ink: the Roma people through their voices”
An initiative aimed at highlighting the history, culture and heritage of the Roma people through their own words.
The session will provide an overview of some of the key events that have shaped the history of the Roma people, from their origins and their presence in Spain since the 15th century to the policies of persecution, forms of exclusion and strategies of resistance that have built their collective memory.
The talk will take place on April 23 at 4:30 p.m. on the library terrace and will be delivered by Santiago Vicente Llavata and Donatella Donato. The activity, which will last approximately one hour, will include a discussion session open to questions from the audience.
