El 'machine learning' continua proporcionant dades per a l'Observació de la Terra

L'equip d'investigadors liderat per la Universitat de València, en col·laboració amb la University of Oxford (UK) i el Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry (Alemanya) han proporcionat una revisió d'algorismes de machine learning capaços de millorar les estimacions de variables crítiques per al monitoratge de la Terra. Després de publicar recentment en Nature diferents algorismes capaços d'aprendre les relacions causals entre variables a partir de dades, ara l'investigador de la Universitat de València Gustau Camps-Valls, juntament amb científics de l'Oxford University i el Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry (Alemanya), argumenta en un nou treball que els algorismes actuals estan limitats en diferents sentits.

La Universitat de València (UV) és la 9ª del món en Teledetecció (Dpto. de Física de la Terra i Termodinàmica – Facultat de Física) i la 21 en Tecnologia i Ciència dels Aliments, sent en tots dos casos la millor d'Espanya, segons Ranking de Shanghái per matèries de 2019. La Universitat de València està entre les 150 millors del món en 9 disciplines, dos més que fa un any. Manté o reforça el seu lideratge en sis matèries: Teledetecció, Tecnologia i Ciència dels Aliments, Gestió Turística, Salut Pública, Ciències Agrícoles i Administració i Direcció d'Empreses (ADE).

The Institute of Flight Guidance (IFF) is part of the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, and located at the research airport of Braunschweig. For the research in the lower atmosphere, TU Braunschweig operates several meteorological UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) and manned research aircraft. We are looking for a project scientist (PhD student), starting as soon as possible, for the development and integration of sensors, electronics and data acquisition, as well as for the preparation, participation and data analysis of field campaigns with UAS.
