Last Saturday, the 2015 COGITTCV Awards (Official Association of Telecommunications of the Valencian Community) were delivered in its Annual Gala Awards Dinner, which took place in Alicante. ETSE-UV was present in the meeting, since three of the awarded collegiate members were students in the school. The ceremony awards had the presence of the deans of the CGITTCV and the COGITT, as well as the vice-dean of the COGITTCV, Javier Marqués, who was in charge of hosting the event. To the dinner attended around one hundred collegiate people, awarded and family. Furthermore, it also attended the deans of all the demarcations of the Association.
The award for the “2015 Renowned Junior Collegiate” went to Úrsula Pérez, technical telecommunications engineering, electronic systems and graduated in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications from the ETSE-UV. She has been intern in the promotion of Academic Excellence of the Universities of the Valencian Community, as well as intern of medical imaging in London. Nowadays, she participates in several research projects related to spinal metastases.
Out of the tree collegiate members of the Valencian Community, awarded in the National Awards for the Liberalisation of Telecommunications that COGITT delivered, two went for graduated from our school. The two of them, graduated in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications, were awarded for their Undergraduate Degree Final Projects. Borja Galán got the second prize of Electronic Systems for his work “Development of algorithms for real time automatic detection of diplopia.” By his part, Javier Iriarte received the third prize of Electronic Systems for his work “Performance of a device with low femto-farad resolution used to characterize capacitance to digital converters.” Galán is still connected to the Universitat de València as a student of the Master’s Degree in Basic and Applied Neurosciences and as a research technician in the Image Processing Laboratory (UV), while Iriarte is studying the Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering at the ETSE-UV.
