More than 1,000 students of Secondary School gathered in the ETSE-UV on the occasion of the 3rd Air Fair

The Air Fair is an educative project combining technology and creativity so the youngest can learn how to build drones with social applications.

The meeting point of this 3rd Edition of the Air Fair has been the ETSE-UV during this Friday. The organisation counted with the participation of 63 educative centres, all of them of the Valencian province.

In this edition, the Air Fair has been split in three different zones. The stand zone, where students from different institutes could watch the works done in other centres and get informed about the proposed application for that drone in particular; the flying demonstration zone; and lastly, the rooms in which each centre exposed their project and talked about the social advantages the drone could provide.  The aim of these drones is to contribute with solutions to local problems that students have noticed in their towns.

The presentation of the Air Fair took place at 12 in the Assembly Hall of the ETSE-UV with the participation of Jordi Peris, delegated councilman of Innovation and Knowledge Management of the City Hall of Valencia, Eva María Martínez, Director of the CEFIRE in Torrent, director of the ETSE-UV and Ricardo Domínguez, Director of El Caleidoscopio.

The third edition of the Air Fair started in November and more than 3,000 students have already taken part as well as 150 Valencian professors. The event is encouraged by the Universitat de València, the CEFIRE of Torrent, InnDEA Valencia/Las Naves, the FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Minister of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness) and El Caleidoscopio.
