Description
This project is contextualized within the framework of the Master's Degree in Human Resources Direction and Management of the UV and seeks to develop activities that are transversal to the curriculum in which students integrate different subjects and disciplines. A characteristic challenge of master's training is that students adequately integrate the content that the teaching staff (from different faculties and departments) work on in their subject classes (generally less numerous than in degree courses). This "integration of knowledge" (understood as a methodological strategy aimed at the approach and solution of problems related to professional practice) is even more necessary in the master's degree in question, as it is a 120-credit master's degree, developed by departments of four different faculties (Psychology, Economics, Law and Social Sciences).
With this design, the risk of fragmentation is evident and the student experience is demanding efforts aimed at integrating and giving meaning to diverse content, approaches and methodologies, even when dealing with the same object of study: people management in organizations. For this reason, this project proposes an interdisciplinary activity, beyond multidisciplinarity.
The project will involve HR management staff from a company that will pose a real challenge for which the students must prepare, during guided work sessions, a proposal for intervention that they will present to the company in a final session. Prior to the day of presentation of the challenge, a round table will be held in which HR consulting professionals will participate. In this way, the project is based on a theoretical-practical approach that will combine the participation of teachers and HR professionals who will provide a double vision in the feedback provided to the students. Around this single company, the teachers participating in the project will propose different activities in their subjects. In this way, students will have to approach different topics and dimensions of the same organization from different disciplines. This will facilitate the development of a systemic vision of the organization in which the different facets influence and interrelate each other.
