Research lines:
  • Heritage education and music heritage.This line of research focuses on the study, analysis and dissemination of cultural and musical heritage as an educational resource. It addresses music as an element of identity and as a vehicle for the transmission of cultural and community values. It investigates teaching strategies for cultural and musical heritage, its integration into the curriculum, the use of digital technologies for its preservation and dissemination, and its contribution to sustainable cultural development. It also analyses educational practices that promote access, inclusion and active participation in the conservation of cultural and musical heritage.
  • Active methodology and digital technology.This line of research investigates the impact of active methodologies and digital technology on teaching and learning processes. It focuses on various methodologies aligned with the current challenges of society and education, such as project-based learning, design thinking, podcasting, collaborative learning, etc., analysing their contribution to the development of professional competences. It also examines the role of the teacher as a reflective and innovative agent, as well as the processes of formative assessment.
  • Risk culture, heritage and resilience in educational, social and sustainable contexts.This line of research addresses risk culture as a fundamental axis for prevention, informed decision-making and the construction of resilient societies, incorporating cultural and natural heritage as a key educational and social resource. The research analyses the social perception of risk, heritage knowledge, collective memory and cultural practices linked to the historical management of risks, as well as their potential to strengthen preventative education and community resilience. The research is carried out in educational, social and sustainability contexts, promoting the development of individual and collective capacities to face situations of uncertainty and emerging risks. From an interdisciplinary perspective, the line of research integrates risk management, heritage education, education for sustainable development and responsible citizenship. Likewise, the design of educational and community strategies is promoted, which, based on heritage, contribute to minimising vulnerabilities, strengthening adaptation and fostering a more conscious and sustainable relationship with the environment.
  • Knowledge Transfer in Social Sciences.This line focuses on the study of the processes of transferring knowledge generated in the social sciences to academia, public institutions and society. It analyses mechanisms, models and best practices that facilitate the application of scientific knowledge in the resolution of social, educational and cultural problems. Particular attention is paid to social innovation, university-society collaboration, and the evaluation of research's social impact. The line of research seeks to strengthen the connection between research, practice, and public policy, promoting socially engaged, accessible social science that is oriented towards educational and social improvement.
