On March 14 and 16, at the “Alma Mater” University of Bologna (Italy), the main results of the European project “Free to Choose” will be presented. The main researcher of the project, Anna Giulia Ingellis, a researcher at IUCIE, will present, within the framework of an Erasmus Teacher exchange, an example of applied social research.
The results of the research have allowed the development of a board game aimed at increasing awareness of gender stereotypes among adolescents in school-work transition. The research has analyzed the context through the main indicators of gender gaps and has studied the impact of gender stereotypes in the school-work transition on the subjective perception of young people and educators and service operators for employment in some southern European countries (Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia). An analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender inequality in the area will also be presented
