TuinLEC is an automated tutor to teach reading literacy skills to middle and junior high-school students in a game-like environment. It includes 8 lessons in which the students read different sort of texts and answer questions. TuinLEC incorporates two virtual agents, a teacher and a student who interact with the user prividing her explanations, help and feedback throughout the processs. It has been succesfully tested in two different shools in 2011. TuinLEC has been funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (EDU2008-03072, EDU2011-27091). We are currently implementing new developments.
