In October 2007 the Universitat Politècnica de València organized for the first time a meeting between research groups engaged in the design, synthesis and evaluation of sensors for different applications. Since then, every year a new edition of the meeting is organized where the achievements in the field of the sensors are highlighted and the results and experiences of research groups in different areas such as chemistry, biology, environment, medicine, pharmacy and engineering are shown.

The Interuniversity Research Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM) organizes the XII International Workshop on Sensors and Molecular Recognition which will take place on 5th and 6th July 2018 at the Salón de Grados of  Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitat de Valencia.

The Organizing Committee of the Workshop invites researchers in the field of sensors and other related areas to submit their works and results as well as to participate in the discussions that are organized.
