On September 27, our colleague María Nieves Aranda Sobrino, from the NANOSENS group, defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Nanostructured supports for detection of pathogens and biomolecules of interest based on molecular gates with oligonucleotides”. A thesis directed by Prof. Ramón Martínez Mañez, Principal Investigator of the NANOSENS group and current director of the IDM, Dr. Elena Aznar Gimeno, professor at the UPV.

His defense was evaluated by the prestigious tribunal formed by Dr. José Antonio López Guerrero, from the Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation, Dr. María Isabel Lucío, from the UPV, and Dr. Mª Jesús Lerma García, from the UV.
