We are celebrating! Yesterday, our colleague Mariana Barros, from the MODeLiC group, defended her PhD thesis entitled "Design, synthesis, and evaluation of optical chemosensors to detect potential biomarkers of pathological conditions". The thesis was supervised by Prof. Pablo Gaviña, Principal Investigator of the MODeLiC group, and Prof. Ana M. Costero.
Its defence was evaluated by the prestigious tribunal formed by Prof. Margarita Parra, deputy director of IDM; Prof. Carlos Lodeiro, from the NOVA University of Lisbon; and Prof. Juan Felipe Miravet, from the Jaume I University.
