Researchers from the NANOSENS Group of the Institute of Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM_UPV_UV) are participating in the BioTubeROl project, a strategic cooperative innovation project that integrates advanced technologies for the controlled release of bioactive molecules. The aim is to develop new biopesticides for the protection of olive trees against peacock spot and tuberculosis in olive groves, based on active ingredients of botanical and microbiological origin, using an innovative intelligent molecular gate release system. In parallel, this research will be complemented by the use of a new non-invasive sampling technique for pest detection through drone-based remote sensing.
The project involves the collaboration of four other strategic partners:
SEIPASA
ENERGY MANAGEMENT & INNOVATION
COOPERATIVA AGRÍCOLA CATÓLICA COOP. C. (COCENTAINA)
AIMPLAS
Researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) have received funding of €169,396.66 from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE +i, Generalitat Valenciana), through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme of the Valencian Community 2021–2027 (INNEST/2025/308).
Through this initiative, IDM renews its commitment to technological innovation, health safety, and sustainability.
