
On May 5th we received the visit of innovation agents from the Valencian Agency for Innovation to the IDM facilities of the UPV where they listened to the research being carried out by the groups of the Institute.
We received the visit of agents from different entities and cities listed below. Quimacova, ITQ, Bioval, Cátedra FACSA from the Jaume I University, Fundación Valencia Port, INCLIVA, FEDACOVA, VALMETAL and La Fe" Health Research Institute.
The visit consisted of a first presentation by the deputy director of the IDM, Ramón Martínez Máñez, where he talked about the Institute and then showed some studies carried out in his group “Nanomateriales y sensores”. Next, Miguel Alcañiz commented on how research has been evolving within his group “Desarrollo electrónico y sensores impresos”. Finally, Dr. Josep Ramón Lliso, representing Professor Juan Soto, explained practical cases where the sensors developed in his group “Investigación y monitorización del hormigón have been implemented. Then, we went down to meet the group of “Señal y medida en química” where its director, Angel Maquieira explained the sensors and biosensors developed in his group. In the case of the “Eficiencia energética y energías renovables” group led by Professor Francisco José Gimeno; its lines of research were subsequently shared.
The agents left the Institute with a clear idea of the multidisciplinarity with which we are characterized and with great possibilities for future collaborations.
