Ramón Martínez Máñez, IDM researcher, leads one of the Strategic Projects for Anticipation and Adaptation to Realities derived from COVID-19 financed by the Generalitat Valenciana.

The project "Development of new Covid-19 diagnostic systems", leaded by the Professor of Chemistry, and Rei Jaume I Prize for New Technologies in 2018, Ramón Martínez Máñez, is based on the development of rapid and sensitive recognition protocols using nanosystems with molecular gates.

The project will be developed by two research groups: the Interuniversity Research Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development (IDM-UPV), which is a pioneer in working in the field of hybrid materials with molecular gates, and the Severe Infection Group-IIS La Fe, specialized in the development of basic and translational research in the field of infectious diseases.
