Last February 11 we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science!

Every February 11 we commemorate the talent, passion and effort of all the women and girls who contribute to the advancement of science. For this reason, our commitment to promoting gender equality in this field, we carry out a series of activities with the help of some of our IDM researchers.

Dr. Eva Garrido was one of the 11 interviewed in the “They talk about science” program, organized by the Communication Area of the UPV. There, they talked about their references and moments that have been unforgettable for them. In addition, our Drª was interviewed by the SER network, in the special program 11F, Ciencia: Singular, feminine. It should be noted that Eva's work was awarded in the Second Edition of the UPV Awards in the Media Impact of Research Award category, an extraordinary example of scientific work and talent.
On the other hand, our researchers, Dr. Andrea Bernardos and Dr. Paula Díez, held a Chemistry and Magic workshop, held at the Alejandra Soler School, in the Ruzafa neighborhood (Valencia). It was a complete success, there the little ones enjoyed and learned first-hand the relevance of chemistry in society.
