Every March 22nd, the world reflects on the importance of water as a vital resource. In the aquaculture sector, ensuring water quality and preventing diseases in aquatic ecosystems is key to achieving sustainable and efficient production.

At the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), the research group IDM from SYM, affiliated with the ThinkInAzul project, is developing innovative biosensors that enable the rapid and precise detection of pathogens in aquatic environments. Thanks to the combination of nanotechnology and molecular biology, these devices offer advanced solutions for health control in aquaculture.

🌊 Innovation for a Blue Future
The efforts of the UPV team align with key tasks of the ThinkInAzul project:
🔬 The development of smart biosensors and advanced technologies for disease detection and prevention. Our solution consists of fast and simple DNA tests based on reactive strips and smartphone reading.

💡 Water is the essence of life, and science is the driving force behind its preservation. Follow us to learn more about our work at IDM! 💙🌊
