On 23 November 2018 took place the Opening Ceremony for the 9th edition of the Master’s degree. It was chaired by Mrs. María Vicent Mestre Escrivà. Principal of the Universitat de Valencia. Mrs. María Azucena Martí Palacios. Government Delegation for the National Drug Plan. Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare. Dr. Antonio Ferrer Manchón. Vice-dean of the Faculty of Psychology. Universitat de València. Mrs. María Jesús Mateu Aranda. Director of Addictive Disorders Management Service. Valencian Department for Health Universal and Health Publica and D. José Miñarro López. Director of the Department of Psychobiology. UV. Master’s Degree manager.

Lecturers highlighted enthusiasm and effort in the work that has been done over the years. This master’s degree is open to the social development that are taking place. With the presence of quality lecturers who are experts on the different areas of drug addiction. It is a master’s degree with sensitiveness to interdisciplinary suggestions made from social scenes, the government or both students and professors. The importance of this degree is a collective work and has economical and social support represented by the lecturers in this ceremony.

Assistants pointed out that research comes in handy for the Master’s degree training. This training, so necessary for treatments is based on high-level international research which is tested by all the partners that collaborate with us. Our students return their training to society.

Participants thanked the students for choosing the Universitat de València to continue their training.  People form this university and from the Faculty of Psychology will be joining them and will be available during the two official courses that these students have ahead of them.
