Estela Ruiz

Estela Ruíz gave a seminar on November 12, 2020 on necessary tools for the labor insertion of disabled people.

As a professional worker in the labor insertion of disabled people, Estela Ruíz, in contact with the HR departments, has been able to observe, during almost 20 years of experience in this sector, several things like:

1- Ignorance of diversity management with regards to the incorporation of a person with disabilities in the company.

2- Lack of training in HR departments, regarding what is legally considered a person with disabilities.

3- Wrong application of "standard selection" criteria for the incorporation of people with disabilities.

4- Ignorance that there is a law that requires the incorporation of alternative measures into companies with more than 50 workers, at least 2% of people with disabilities.

5- Ignorance of sources of recruitment of people with disabilities or social exclusion.

6- Grants that companies receive for hiring people with disabilities.

7- Professional outings from the HR Master in positions such as “Support Unit Technician” and “Labor Integration Technician”.

The seminar aims to provide the tools to answer the questions posed, with a practical and useful methodology of what you can find in your work environment as HR professionals.
