The alumni of our programme of Mg. Jorge Mario Olarte Collazos, wins the seventh edition of the "Antonio Delgado Award", organised by the Institute of Copyright (INSTITUTO AUTOR) and the Regional Centre for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC).

Last March, the alumni of our Mg. Jorge Mario Olarte Collazos programme, won the Antonio Delgado Award for his work “Licencias multiterritoriales en el ámbito de la gestión colectiva del derecho de autor y de los derechos conexos. Perspectiva desde la Unión Europea y la Comunidad Andina de Naciones” (Spanish for Multi-territorial licenses in the field of collective management of copyright and related rights. Perspective from the European Union and the Andean Community of Nations).

In the work, the author analyses the multi-territorial licensing regime provided for in Directive 2014/26 EU, from the perspective of the different sectors involved in the management of copyright and related rights, with special emphasis on the European experience and its potential impact on the Andean Community of Nations.

Likewise, the author studies the feasibility of implementing a cross-border licensing regime through collective management societies in the Andean Community of Nations.

The Antonio Delgado Prize is awarded annually since 2012, with the main objective of promoting and rewarding research studies of excellence related to copyright and related rights.
