Law 15/2021, of 23 October, amended Law 34/2006, of 30 October, on access to the professions of lawyer and procurador, requiring that the Master's Degrees that qualify for the practice of both professions incorporate subjects specific to the professional practice of both legal occupations. In its second transitory provision, as drafted by Law 17/2022, the Master's Degrees exclusively related to either the profession of lawyer or procurador may only be offered until the academic year 2022-2023. Nevertheless, the regulatory development foreseen in the first final provision, which is essential to be able to implement the Master's Degrees in Law Practice and Legal Representation (Spanish Procura), has not yet taken place, although it seems imminent. The UV will request, as soon as the Regulation is published, the implementation of the Master’s Degree in Law Practice and Legal Representation (Spanish Procura), which we hope to be able to teach next year. However, if the Ministry chooses not to publish the expected Royal Decree and extend the moratorium on the teaching of Master's Degree in Law Practice, the UV would continue to teach the degree in the format of previous years. Students pre-enrolled in the Master's Degree in Law Practice and Legal Representation (Spanish Procura) will be understood to be pre-enrolled in the Master's Degree in Law Practice if the latter is finally taught and not the former.
