The world of occupational risk prevention meets up to tackle the main health and security problems at work and to talk about the latest news in the field.
Next 28 and 29 September Laboralia: Integral Contest on Prevention and Occupational Welfare will take place, being the most important event in the field which is celebrated in the Valencian Community. The Fira Valencia will host the main representatives from the organisms, institutions and companies in the field of prevention. Some examples are: the INVASSAT (Valencain Institute of Security and Health at Work) or the INSHT as well as professors from the Master’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
This edition’s lectures will count with the participation of experts in different fields in order to tackle topics such as new technologies applied to prevention or health surveillance of occupational diseases, among others. On the 29, the most highlighted acts will be those dedicated to the rise of awareness and dissemination of nanoparticles as a rising risk for the health and security of workers.
Throughout the event, there will also be many workshops and debate tables on questions such as the transmission of Preventive Culture among the companies which coordinate the activities, the management of absenteeism or the tackling of psycho-social risks in companies. José Luis Llorca, professor of the UV Master’s Degree in Risk Prevention, head of the INVASSAT Service and organizer of the Congress, will participate in the round table on the process of coming back to work after a temporary incapacity to work.
Parallel to this, this call will also be used to bestow the awards from the 9th Llum Awards “to recognise preventive management applied by companies through the implementation of security and health systems and measures at work”. Additionally, the latest advances on technology and prevention systems will also be presented.
