Full Professor at the Department of Marketing and Market Research at the University of Valencia (Spain). PhD in Marketing from the University of Valencia. Teaching areas: services, gastronomic, and tourism marketing, communication, and branding. Member of the “Innovative and Sustainable Service Solutions” (SIV) Research Group at the University of Valencia. Over 26 years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Co-director of the Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning. Main research areas: services marketing with sectoral applications in tourism, education, gastronomy, and sports, innovation, value co-creation, strategic marketing, branding, and consumer behavior

Biography
 

Rosa María Yagüe Perales holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Valencia (1996), where she also obtained her Degree in (1988). Her academic background focuses on quantitative methods applied to economics, with an increasing specialization in the management and planning of the tourism sector.

She carries out her teaching activity at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia as a associate professor in the Department of Applied Economics (Area of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business). She mainly teaches at postgraduate level and plays a key role in the Official Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning, where she coordinates core courses such as:

· Use of Indicators for Measuring Tourism Activity.

· Sustainable Tourism Development in Local Areas.

· Academic Writing and Research Techniques.

· Supervision of Master’s Theses (TFM) and External Internships.

Research activity: She is the director of the Research Group on Public Tourism Management (GIUV2018-428) at the University of Valencia. Her research activity is prolific and multidisciplinary. Her main research lines include:

· Sustainable tourism and heritage: analysis of the tourism use of cultural and industrial heritage (such as the Silk Road or the Royal Factory of l’Alcora).

· Entrepreneurship, innovation: studies on startup accelerators, gender issues in business (glass ceiling) and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

· Quantitative methods: application of econometric models and techniques such as fsQCA to assess business growth and the impact of science parks.

She has published numerous articles in high-impact international journals such as Drug Discovery Today, Sustainability, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, European Journal of Management and Business Economics and Annals of Tourism Research.

Knowledge transfer: She maintains close links with the Valencian socio-economic environment through transfer projects and participation in strategic bodies of the Valencian Community, including:

· Design of Master Plans for Industrial Tourism (l’Alcora, Sagunto).

· Regional tourism studies for the Provincial Council of Valencia and the Provincial Tourism Board (Hoya de Buñol, Vall d’Albaida, etc.).

· Development of innovation diagnostic tools for the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI).

· Active participation in forums and conferences (FORTUR-VLC, Mesval) and collaboration with institutional chairs.

· Independent board member of the Valencian Institute of Finance (IVF) (2020-2023).

· Member of the Governing Board of the Valencian Media Corporation (CVMC) (2019-2025).

· Trustee of the Bancaja Foundation (2013-2025) and member of the Étnor Foundation and the Adeit-Empresa Foundation, representing the Bancaja Foundation.

University management at the University of Valencia: In the field of institutional management and representation, she has held senior positions such as:

· Co-director of the Official Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning (since 2024).

· Coordinator of the first year of the Degree in Tourism.

· Coordinator of the Degree in Tourism (2010-2012).

· Active member of academic and teaching innovation committees (CEPE, CCA).

· Secretary of the Faculty of Economics (2012-2015).

· Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics (2015-2018).
