The Reial Acadèmia de Medicina de la Comunitat Valenciana (RAMCV) has delivered his Medal of Honour to the Facultat de Medicina i Odontologia of the Universitat de València in a celebrated act in the Classroom Magna of this last institution this morning.

This galardón is a recognition of the RAMCV to the Facultat by the narrow relation that keep both entities. A lot of professors of the Facultat have been to his academic time and a series of deans also have been presidents of the RAMCV. Besides, the Facultat houses the installations of the RAMCV from the year 1956. 

The Facultat is the sixth institution that receives this Medal of Honour in the almost 200 years of existence of the RAMCV (his first regulations are of 1831). Previously, they had obtained this recognition the Universitat of València, the University of Alicante, the Illustrate Official School of Doctors of Valencia, the City council of Valencia and the Medical Institute Valencian (IMV).

In the act, have taken part the president of the RAMCV, the Dr. Antonio Llombart, the secretary of this entity, the Dr. Carmen Loyal, and the president of the IMV, the Dr. Francisco J. Morals. The medal has been collected by the Dr. Federico Pallardó, dean of the Facultat.

The Dres. Llombart, Morals and Loyal have been also deans of the Facultat. The Loyal Dr. was, besides, the first Chair of Psiquiatría of Spain.
