Biographical outline:

Ramón Pelegero Sanchis, better known by his artistic name Raimon (Xàtiva, Valencia, December 2, 1940). Valencian singer-songwriter, one of the greatest exponents of the historical movement of the Nova Cançó.

At twenty-one, he moved to València to study history at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. It is then when he makes the first readings of Ausiàs March, Salvador Espriu, Josep Pla and Joan Fuster, among others. Before, however, Al Vent had already been born, his first song, arising from the experience of riding a motorcycle from Valencia to his city of Xàtiva.

In 1962, Raimon made his first public performance, in the delivery of some literary prizes. The success is immediate. Raimon surprises by the form and the content of his songs. For the shout, for the rebel existentialism that the texts give off. In 1963, it appears, published by Edigsa, his first disc, an EP that contains Al vent, Som, La pedra and A colps, that will turn into an unexpected success of sales. The vent becomes the song in vernacular with more copies sold, exceeding 40,000.
