The Principal of the University of Valencia, Esteban Morcillo, has welcomed the students who have participated in the Summer University Olympics, celebrated in Shenzen (China) last August.
The nine Valencian students –Ignacio Ausina, José Bondía, Vicente Lili, Neus luch, Francisco Javier Madera, Arantxa Martínez, Pablo Manuel Montoro, Sandra Moreno and Miguel Ángel Sancho–, represented, during the Summer Universiade, the University of Valencia. Because of this, the Principal has shown his “recognition, gratitude and congratulations". Esteban Morcillo has reminded that "you, with your effort, give the University of Valencia prestige. You carry its name through all the competitions, and the University can show off good sport results as well as research or science results. We are in the elite thanks to you, too”.
The Principal has linked sports practice with excellency. In fact, he underlines that “among the basis of the VLC/Campus, sports have a main role”.
He has been accompanied by Antonio Ariño, Vice-Principal for Culture, Planning and Equality, and Daniel González Serisola, Delegate for Students, as well as by José Campos, director of the Sports Service of the University.
