Antequera (Málaga) will receive the paddle team of the Universitat de València next week on the occasion of the University Spain Championship of paddle between the 3 and 6 of May.

The team of Jorge Bellmont will join the event with two couples, the one composed by Javier Santonja and Emilio Plantada and the one composed by Elena Molina and Paula Pastor.

In the group phase, the boys will have to face the couples of the Universitat de Lleida on Wednesday at 10:00, the Universidad de Burgos at 16:15, and the Universidad Católica de Valencia on Thursday at 09:35. After the results of these games the final matches will be stablished.

On the other hand, the female team is in the group of the Universidad de Vic, and will compete against them on Wednesday at 17:30 and against the Universidad de Córdoba on Thursday at 12:15.

The team is “aware of the huge difficulty that means winning a medal in a high level Championship, but we can’t deny that this year we have a very good preparation thanks to the weekly trainings and the illusion of both couples reaching the highest positions”, says the coach Jorge Bellmont.

About the expectations of the Universitat de València in the Championship, Bellmont adds that “I don’t want their objective to be the victory, but to do their best and make the other couple give their 110% in order to show that they were better”.
