When we talk about adapted sport we refer to “all kinds of physical activities (carried out by those people with disabilities), that, by participating, organised or of other type, have as a purpose the expression or the improvement of physical and psychical condition, the development of social relations or the achievements of good results in competitions of all levels”.
The UV, through the Sports Service, organises and manages the offer of physical-sporting activities addressed at the members of the university community or the collectives established according to the rules.
The offer of physical-sporting activities addressed to people with disabilities and/or with special necessities derived from a disability have a recreational and of competition nature. This is an optional activity. From this inclusive approach, a differenced offer is created so as it is more visible, through specific activities. The following inclusive/specific sport schools were offered offered throughout the academic year 2023/2024
- Table tennis
- Wheelchair tennis
- Archery
- Wheelchair paddle tennis
