Aikido, athletics, climbing, judo, rugby, volleyball... this week the training sessions for all sports disciplines are back. If you are a UV student and like to practice any sport, you are still in time to sign up for one of the schools of UVsports, registrations will remain open until all places are filled.
The range of schools is very varied, and is open to the entire university community: PAS (Administrative and Service Staff), PDI (Teaching and Research Staff) and students. If you are into individual sports, you can choose from aikido, athletics, badminton, climbing, fencing, judo, karate, kendo, taekwondo, table tennis, triathlon and sailing. If you prefer team sports, there are basketball, football, futsal, rugby, volleyball and beach volleyball schools.
Training starts in October, but registration is open until all places are filled. Depending on the sport, the approach to training sessions is different. You can check the offer of schools, as well as training days, payment, groups and campuses where they take place, etc. on the UVesports website.
In addition, if you want to apply for competition in the sport you practice in the Sports School, you can find information on the UVesports website, in the “Competitions” section. The team of monitors and coaches of the sports schools can guide and inform you.
As for UVesports activities, they started a couple of weeks ago, but there are still places available in Aerobics, trivial dance (Belly Dance) and Cubbá dance. Do not hesitate and sign up! Remember that, according to the Spanish Heart Foundation, people who exercise regularly have a life expectancy three years longer than the rest. Physical exercise reduces cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes. Register on the online self-enrolment application and enjoy the last places available!
