The participation of the Universitat de València (UV) in the 2026 Spaish University Championship of Archery ended on 30 April in Huelva with a bronze for the Valencian team in the category of male’s compound team, represented by Eduard Gil Magraner. In the CEU of Mountain Races which was hold on 25 April at Sierra Morena, the UV got the fourth place with both male and female teams.
Andalucía hosts the 2026 CEU and last week, two of the sporting disciplines contested at the Spanish universities got closed. The archery championship, organised by the University of Huelva, was hold from 29 April to 1 May at the facilities of Club Asirio de Tiro con Arco, where Spanish university archers met, including a team from the Universitat de València.
Apart from the bronze, the UV achieved a fourth place at the category of women’s compound team with Mónica Paola Coniglio Grau leading; whereas in the category of recurve mixed team, the Valencian team obtained the fifth place. As a final result, the Universitat is the number ten in the general ranking.
Fourth place in the Mountain Races CEU
The 2026 Spanish University Championship (CEU) of Mountain Races, organised by the University of Córdoba, featured a one-off mountain race where male and female runners tackled a demanding course, with both the start and finish lines located in Cerro Muriano, testing their resistance and technical capability in a challenging natural environment.
This year, this sporting discipline was also contested by the male and female teams from the Universitat de València, both obtaining the fourth place.
