The women’s pair of the Universitat de València wins the bronze medal in the CEU, held at the Los Alcázares beach in Murcia.
The Spanish University Beach Volleyball Championship (CEU), organised by the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM), brought together athletes from 24 universities across the country who fought for medals at the Los Alcázares beach on April 7th and 8th.
On the women’s modality, the pair comprised of Nikola Einberga and Henar Martínez achieved the third place in the championship. The representatives of the Universitat de València defeated the Universities of Valladolid and Girona on semi-finals, but did not manage to win neither the University of Vitoria nor the host university, the UCAM. Their coach, Juanfran Álvarez, has highlighted the evolution of this pair in the game, who knew how to understand each other very well and form a very competitive tandem that has managed to get a place in the podium among a total of 12 universities with high-level pairs.
