
The Universitat de València, through the Physical Education and Sports Service and in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sports (AEPSAD) organises on 7 March a training day under the title “La protección de la salud y la prevención del dopaje en el deporte” (“Health protection and the prevention of doping in sports”).
The assembly hall of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of the Universitat de València hosts the training day between 15:15 h. and 17:00 h.
Berta Folch is the speaker in charge of opening the event with the talk that gives the event its title. Folch is sports psychology and external educator of the Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sports (AEPSAD). For Folch, the event “causes great interest both for athletes and for support staff, specially since they are responsible for sports so they must know this type of information that will serve to improve their day-to-day work.”
Then, at 16:30 takes place a talk on the structure and services of the Support Office to Athletes (GAD) of the Universitat de València in which intervene Francisco Javier López, medical specialist in physical education and sports; Rafael Aranda, doctor and graduated in CCAFYD; Pascual José Sales, graduated in clinical psychology and sports psychology; José Rajadell, graduated in physical education; Luís Valero, graduated in physical therapy and master’s degree in sports physical therapy and recovering of the physical activity; Javier Ferriols, graduated in physical therapy; and Isidro Ávila, graduated in nursing and expert in emergencies and disasters.
The event is addressed to the students that are part of elite, high level, top-class programmes and university teams of the Universitat de València, as well as the technical staff running them.
