Miguel Ángel Martínez Chazarra, Andrea Romero and Raquel Echevarría win medals with their respective mixed relay teams.
This February, the World University Cross Country Running Championship was held in Muscat (Omán), where athletes from the Universitat de València have had an excellent performance that has contributed to the triumph of the Spanish team.
Spain was proclaimed champion in the long mixed relay, with a quartet that included UV athletes Ángel Martínez Chazarra and Andrea Romero.
In the short mixed relay, the Spanish team was runner-up, with the participation of our student, Raquel Echeverría.
In addition, the Spanish university cross country team came first in the classification by country, being the best team of all those participating in the championship.
As for the individual results, in the women's short cross country competition, Andrea Romero finished ninth and Raquel Echevarría twenty-first, while in the men's event, Chazarra finished fifth.
