The programme aimed to know the results obtained by the students who made the job placement starting from the established and reached objectives, the used resources, the companies typology and their departments where the job placement was made, examining its organisation, learning methodology, coordination among the users, and the link with the assessment processes. All these, with the aim of assume strategies for the continuous improvement of the design, teaching and management of job placements, in the degree and university level, and prepare tools to achieve these quality criteria that will configure the assessment model to be implemented. From the perspective of autonomy in the organisation of the teaching in the degrees, reflect on the ability of the people in charge of the job placements for their planning and organisation, as well as in the establishment of control and participation systems of the participant agents was advisable.
All these should entail the establishment of permanent procedures that ensure the quality of job placements. In short, with the Assessment of Job Placements Programme of the University of Valencia aimed at:
- Exploring in more detail the meaning of job internships.
- Defining and validating the quality model of the University job placements.
- Designing and validating an assessment model for job placements.
- Describing, analysing and improving the University of Valencia job placements.
- Establishing the variables for the design of a course guide for the tutor teacher of job placements.
- Promoting a quality culture at the University of Valencia and its collaborating companies to motivate the continuous improvement of job placements.
The specific objectives for each degree which participated in this programme were:
- To improve the quality of job placements through self-diagnosis and an outside point of view by experts.
- To diagnose the strengths and weaknesses and the necessary improvement proposals to upgrade the quality of job placements.
- To promote the assessment to boost the establishment and continuity of quality guarantee processes in job placements, providing useful information for making decisions.
