Microbial strains freeze-drying
The CECT attends to freeze-drying any bacteria, archaea, yeast or filamentous fungi for third parties, if the microorganism concerned falls within the groups accepted by the CECT and survives the freeze-drying process.
Before sending any strains to be freeze-dried, consult the CECT by sending an Email to the following address hongos@cect.org or bacterias@cect.org
Anyone interested in sending strains to freeze-drying should be registered at the LIMS platform of the CECT and fill in the request form in the Prokaryotes or Eukaryotes section.
The microbial strains should be sent as active culture to the CECT.
The minimum order is 10 ampoules per strain and the current price list is available here.
Use of the freeze-dryer
CECT offers the use of its freeze-dryers. Fees are available here.
If the sample to be lyophilized needs some previous manipulation by the CECT staff, it may have an additional cost.
Likewise, additional charges may also be applied if the material must be returned by a courier service.
