Transfer

Credit transfer consists on including, in the student’s official academic documents, all the credits obtained in the previous official studies that have not lead to obtaining an official certificate.
Modules, subjects or courses or transferred courses will not be taken into consideration for calculating the record’s assessment.
Transfer will not be applied in case of studying two degrees at the same time. With the exception that the student renounces to simultaneity for quitting those studies.

Recognition of official university studies

Credits recognition consists on the Universitat’s approval of the credits coursed in official studies, from this or other university, so as to being counted by other studies and therefore, obtaining an official certificate. Basic rules for recognition:

At least 36 credits corresponding to basic training formation modules, if the destination degree belongs to the same field that the original degree.
Other credits corresponding to basic training formation modules that belong to the destination field.
All credits provided that there is a connection between the competences and knowledge between the original subjects and those that make up the destination degree.
Under no circumstances credits corresponding to the undergraduate degree and master’s degree final project will be recognised.

In case of the credits obtained in official studies of previous ordinations, the module’s adaptation tables of these curricula will be taken into consideration with the modules of new curricula.

Recognition of official non-university higher studies

Credits coursed in other official non-university higher studies can be recognised in the professional higher grade and in both, national and international mobility programs. Recently, it has been signed the Cooperation agreement between the Generalitat, through the Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sport, and the five Valencian public universities for deciding the equivalences between the certificates of Professional Training higher technician taught in the CV and university degree’s certificates taught, as well as ECTS credits recognition between the mentioned certificates: a minimum of 30 credits in the degrees covered by the Annex I of the agreement will be validated. Consult the web of the institutions involved. As agreements are signed with the other degrees, they will be publicised.

On the other hand, proven work and professional experience and non-official university studies can be recognised without passing, jointly, the 15% of the total credits that form the studies plan. However, credits recognition from own degrees, exceptionally, could pass this percentage or, if required, be fully recognised, provided that the corresponding own degree has been extinct and replaced by an official degree.
A maximum of 6 credits can also be recognised as optional degree’s credits, for taking part in cultural, sports, students representation, caring and cooperation university activities.

Procedure

The student has to start the transfer or recognition procedures submitting the corresponding request in his/her centre’s secretary.

Resolutions

The dean or director, prior report of the Academic Committee for Studies, will decide it in a maximum deadline of a month, if not, the request will be considered rejected.

Fees

For studying the requests and the incorporation of recognised credits to the report, the fees stablished by the Generalitat Valenciana for every case will be applied.

Papers

- Academic transcript.

- Copy of the syllabus sealed by the initial centre, in the case of studies taken in other universities.

- Module’s teaching guides, duly sealed by the Department or initial centre, in case of not being in the recognition list of precedents as FAVOURABLE.

- In case of foreign studies, students must submit a document with the studies designation, specifying if they are official and of university level (in case of the European Higher Education Area, the SET), where are included all the modules studied, marks... The certificate must include the number of credits ECTS and marks or, failing this, the rating system and translation of the credits coursed.

In the event of the required documentation not being written in any of the official languages of the Universitat de València, it will have to be submitted translated in Spanish by a sworn translator. In addition, in case of not having coursed the studies provided in the European Higher Education Area, they will have to be duly legalized (Hague Apostille).

For studies coursed abroad, it will be necessary to submit, duly filled in, the attestation of equivalence of the average grade of the academic transcript for studies taken abroad, with the average grade calculated out of 10, which can be requested in the Ministry of Education d'Educació (attestation of equivalence).

Important

- The request for credits recognition has to be started by the interested party.

- If the request is favourably informed, before issuing the decision, a receipt will be generated for the interested party being able to pay the corresponding administration fee, according to what has been stablished in the consolidated text of the law concerning the GVA fees. Through it, the recognition or credit transfer for studies or activities taken in any university centre, will pay to the Universitat the 25% of the fees stablished in caption of the fee regarding the teaching activity that are passed by the Council for every academic year.

- Provided that the initial and the destination degree belong to the same branch of knowledge, at least 36 credits of basic training will be recognised.

- Under no circumstances credits corresponding to the Final Project will be recognised.

Important

The request for credits recognition has to be started by the interested party.
For requesting the validation of the module “33641-Scholar Internships in Preschool Education II”, it will be necessary having passed 100 credits, as well as the module “33640-Scholar Internships in Preschool Education I”.
In case of the Degrees offered by the Faculty of Teaching Training, equivalence and credit recognition it is only stablished between the CFGS of Preschool Education and the degree in Preschool Education, being therefore excluded the credits recognition from other CFGS.

CREDITS RECOGNITION FOR TAKING PART IN CULTURAL, SPORT, STUDENT REPRESENTATION, CARING AND COOPERATION ACTIVITIES

At any moment, in the academic course in which the student is enrolled of ALL the remaining credits for ending the Degree.

- Certificate or official diploma attesting the activity performed, in which appear the number of credits and date or edition in which has been done.

Important

- Credits will be counted as optative credits, preferably in the last academic year.

- The mark of these credits will be Competent, with the exception of a state measure stablishing the opposite. These credits will not count for obtaining the transcript average grade.

- For requesting the recognition it will be necessary having at least 6 credits susceptible of being recognised (see link to the activities proposed by the Governing Council of the UV for each academic course).

- The maximum number of credits that can be recognised by these type of activities are 6 credits.

- In case of students enrolled in the Degree on Primary School Education, it has to be taken into consideration the fact that the recognition of an optative module by participation credits will mean obtaining the degree’s certificate WITHOUT the proper acknowledgement. For obtaining the acknowledgement it is compulsory taking all the modules that form it.
