On Friday 9 May, the first edition of the Open visits to the Universitat will take place—a new activity by the Conèixer la Universitat programme that aims to disseminate information about degrees, resources and the facilities the Universitat de València offers to students. It is an activity directed to pre-university students of year one and two of upper secondary school education and training courses, those in year 4 of ESO, as well as their families and other people that may be interested and help in academic decision-making.

In this first edition of the open visits, the following University centres will take part in the event:

  • Blasco Ibáñez campus. The faculties of Physical Activity and Sports Science; Language Studies, Translation and Communication; Philosophy and Educational Sciences; Physiotherapy; Geography and History; and Nursing and Podiatry.

The faculties of Medicine and Odontology, and Psychology and Speech Therapy will not participate.

  • Burjassot Campus. School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) and the faculties of Biological Sciences, Pharmacy and Food Sciences, Physics, Mathematical Science, and Chemistry.
  • Els Tarongers Campus. The faculties of Social Sciences, Law, Teacher Training and Economics.
  • Ontinyent Campus UV. Degrees:  Business Administration and Management (ADE); Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE); Preschool Education; and Nursing.

To participate in the Open visits of the Universitat, you must fill out a registration application form to choose an itinerary for the visit and the timetable (4:00pm - 6:00pm) that are available. The capacity of each itinerary is limited and any spot will be allotted by order of registration.

The Open visits of the Universitat are an initiative of the Office of the Vice-Principal of Studies and are possible thanks to teams involved in sixteen centres that, simultaneously, will host the visits to facilitate informed decision-making to the people interested in studying a university degree. They count on the collaboration of the Principal’s Delegation for Academic Trajectories and the organisation of the Information and Promotion Service for Students (Sedi).

The Conèixer la Universitat programme also includes the Visits to the Universitat; the centres of secondary education and training courses that wish to accompany their students to know more about the degrees and the facilities of the Universitat, they will be able to do so; Information Day for guidance professionals that has already taken place (recordings are available on the Conèixer website) and the information session on entrance and admission to the Universitat, which will be held in June and which deals with pre-enrolment, enrolment and fees and waiting lists, among other relevant issues to future students.

  • Registrations: from 26 March to 15 April, at 2:00pm.
