Chemical Engineer by the Universitat de València (1999) and PhD in Chemical Engineering by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (2003). He began his teaching activity in 2001 in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Valencia, where he currently holds the post of University Professor. His research work has focused on the environmental field, specifically in two main areas: wastewater treatment and coastal water quality assessment. Within the area of wastewater treatment, his scientific activity revolves around issues related to: anaerobic digestion of sludge; the application of membrane technology for energy recovery of organic matter from wastewater and the minimization of sludge produced; the use of microalgae for the treatment of urban wastewater; and the recovery of nitrogen and phosphorus. In this area he has participated in numerous research projects and contracts with both public bodies and private companies, having been principal researcher of three national competitive projects (RTC-2017-6049-2, CTM2017-86751-C2-1-R, CTM2014-54980-C2-1-R) and one European project (LIFE13 ENV/ES/001353). Within the area of coastal water quality assessment, his scientific work has focused on the coordination, implementation and evaluation of different monitoring campaigns of coastal and transitional waters in relation to the presence of priority substances with the aim of analysing the impact of human activity on the appearance of these substances and proposing the relevant corrective measures to ensure a good chemical and ecological status of coastal waters. In this area, he has been a researcher in 13 research agreements with the Generalitat Valenciana, acting as principal researcher in two of them. The development of the scientific activities listed above has resulted in several scientific publications in indexed journals and at national and international conferences and in the supervision of six doctoral theses. Since 2017 he directs the DAM Chair for Integral Management and Resource Recovery of Wastewater and since 2020.

MªPilar is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Earth Observation. Her research focuses on the translation of biophysical properties of plants into chlorophyll fluorescence emission and reflectance. It involves experiments ranging from the growth chamber to the greenhouse and whole agricultural fields.

Eduardo M. García Roger is a lecturer and researcher at the Universitat de València, where he holds the position of full professor in the Department of Microbiology and Ecology. His teaching work includes Ecology courses in the degrees of Biology and Environmental Sciences and also in the master's degree in Biodiversity: Evolution and Conservation. 

Since his PhD, he has developed a research career focused on the evolutionary biology and ecology of aquatic populations, especially in temporary habitats such as ponds, pools and small intermittent watercourses in the Mediterranean region. Professionally, she carries out her research at the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology, in the Evolutionary Ecology research group. Throughout his career, Dr. Eduardo M. García Roger has published more than 50 scientific articles in high impact international journals, such as Limnology and Oceanography, Scientific Reports, Freshwater Biology, Oikos, or Proceedings of the Royal Society. In addition, he has participated in more than 70 national and international scientific congresses and conferences, where he has presented advances on the adaptation of organisms to environmental unpredictability and the evolutionary mechanisms operating in temporary aquatic ecosystems. 

His research combines experimental design with field research and the development of theoretical models. Recently, he has been interested in the application of genomic tools to study adaptive processes in rotifer populations and other aquatic organisms. He has collaborated in research exploring the relationship between ecology and genetics, and has used models to explain the phenomenon of bet hedging in rotifer populations. 

Regarding his international experience, Dr. García Roger has carried out research stays in the United States and England, including a postdoc within an EU 7th Framework Programme research project at the University of Barcelona, which has broadened his perspective on the study of community and metacommunity ecology in temporary aquatic habitats. 

Since 2018 he is Vice-Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Universitat de València.

She holds a degree in Physics with an Extraordinary Award in Fundamental Physics (1991) and a PhD in Physics (1996) from the University of Valencia.
She has been an Associate Professor of Applied Physics since 2000 in the Department of Earth Physics and Thermodynamics at the University of Valencia, after having been an FPU fellow and assistant lecturer.

Her research focuses on Applied Rheology in food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical systems, carried out in the laboratory located at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She is currently involved in research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Valencian Regional Government, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Physical and Sensory Properties of the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC, Valencia) and the Department of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Parasitology at the University of Valencia.

She has undertaken research stays at universities in Seville, Glasgow, and Colombia, and has participated in projects with companies such as BABÈ, NOVARTIS, KOROTT, and KERN PHARMA. She co-organized the IBEREO 2017 conference together with IATA and has been a member of the Scientific Committee of several international rheology conferences. She is currently Treasurer of the Governing Board of the Spanish Group of Rheology of the RSEF.

She has completed more than 50 courses in Teaching Training and Innovation and has participated in various educational innovation projects related to teaching in the first years of scientific degree programs and in multidisciplinary initiatives such as INNOCAMPUS. She also takes part in outreach activities with secondary education, such as Aula Experimenta and the Experimenta Fair. She is a member of the Local Committee of the Physics Olympiad and was part of the organizing team of the National Physics Olympiad in 2025. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Division of Education and Outreach of the RSEF.

She has served as First-Year Coordinator and Degree Coordinator for the Physics degree program, and since March 2024 she has been Vice-Dean for Physics Studies and Innovation.

I hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, after completing official Master's degrees in Maintenance Engineering and Industrial Engineering.

I am also a Senior Technician in Risk Prevention, an Expert in Comprehensive Management of Healthcare Support Services, certified in Infrared Thermography by The Infrared Training Center (ITC), and an Expert in Maintenance Management by the Spanish Maintenance Association.

Professionally, I have over twenty years of experience in Infrastructures and Maintenance Engineering; the last six years as Head of the Engineering Department at the Valencia Clínico Malvarrosa Health Department.

Regarding research, I am co-author of 13 publications, including international journals and conference papers, funded by research projects. I have also participated as a speaker or moderator at various national and international conferences, primarily related to signal and image processing, artificial intelligence, and thermography.

Since 2014, I have been a lecturer at the Valencian School of Health Studies (EVES), and since 2019, an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Valencia. There, I have taught various courses in the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, the Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, and the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, covering both the theoretical and practical components. The courses I have taught primarily focus on subjects such as Occupational Health and Safety, Projects, Software Tools, Quality, Organization and Management, and Facilities and General Services. I have supervised 16 undergraduate final projects and served on their respective evaluation panels. Regarding the supervision of external internships, I have completed the corresponding training course for teachers (SYSTEM OF EVALUATION AND ACCREDITATION OF EXTERNAL INTERNSHIP TUTORS (SEATPE) OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VALENCIA) and have monitored more than 30 students, in addition to the 8 assigned for the 25-26 course.

Graduated in Physics from the Universitat de València (1992), with Extraordinary Award and First National Prize for Completion of Studies in Physics, and PhD in Physics from the Universitat de València (1997). He is currently Full Professor of Earth Physics in the Departament de Física de la Terra i Termodinàmica of the Facultat de Física.

He has published 67 articles in indexed journals (48 of them in the first quartile of their respective categories), with 3,980 citations, an h-index of 29 and an I100 index of 8 (WoS). His scientific output averages 120 citations per year (240 citations per year over the last ten years) and an average of 5 authors per publication. He holds four six-year research evaluation periods (“sexenios”). In 2010 he received the Norbert Gerbier Award granted by the World Meteorological Organization.

His main research lines include the measurement of land surface temperature and emissivity from satellite data, their use for surface characterization, and the monitoring of climate change processes through the analysis of time series of these parameters. He has participated in 39 research projects funded by European, national and regional programs, acting as principal investigator in 7 of them. In addition, he has carried out knowledge transfer activities to the productive sector through agreements with companies.

Throughout his career as a university lecturer, he has taught Physics in the Degree in Chemistry; Meteorology and Climatology in the Degree in Environmental Sciences; and Computer Techniques, Thermodynamics, General Physics and Atmospheric Physics in the Degree in Physics. He has also served as director of the University Certificate in the Study of Water Pollution through Remote Sensing (5 courses) and of the University Certificate in Industrial and Environmental Applications of Remote Temperature Measurement (6 courses). He holds five five-year teaching evaluation periods (“quinquenios”).

He has co-supervised five PhD theses, 10 Master’s theses (TFM) and 16 Bachelor’s theses (TFG). He has held several academic management positions, including Secretary of the Faculty of Physics (2006–2012), Vice-Dean for Institutional Relations, Quality and Double Degrees (2018–2021), and Vice-Dean for Studies (2021–2024). Since March 2024, he has been Dean of the Faculty of Physics.
