Carried out in Valencia during the month of November 2005.

Developed by the Research Group DATS jointly with Fundación RACC of Promotion and Defence of Drivers and approved by the IVASP, the aim of these training courses for instructors is to provide methodological strategies to local police-officers of Valencia, who teach road safety education in schools for giving support to their educational work in the field of road safety.

Specific aims of the course: describing what people understand by education for mobility, learning what the concept of mobility is and its applications, reflecting on how to transmit this concept, acquiring basic educational contents for transmitting mobility education, as well as making a road safety analysis.

Specific contents of the course: basic concepts (mobility, road safety, accident rate, urban-background, mobility schemes, road safety education programmes, etc.), knowing how to adapt the concepts, procedures and attitudes of the educational activities depending on the age, analysing the different activities of road safety education and mobility education, as well as deepening in the concept of mobility to understand the importance of road safety and its dissemination through road safety education plans.
