Culturama has announced the 8 th edition of the Culturama Award for Social Innovation in Youth that rewards innovative youth research projects in the fields of art and literature. The application will be open until the 27 September 2024.
The Culturama association has announced the 8 th edition of the Culturama Award for Social Innovation in Youth, a ground-breaking initiative in the Valencian Community that aims to promote innovative projects of young people or addressed to young people between 16 and 35 years old. The purpose of this award is to strengthen inclusive, aware, and solidary
citizenship through art and culture, with a special focus on contemporary production as a catalyser of these principles.
The application is open and the people interested can present their proposals until Friday 27 September 2024. The selected projects will have to be exposed in a public gathering in November. In this event, several awards will be granted: an award to the most significative experience of 1000€, an honourable mention of 400€, and two second prizes of 350 € each. Besides, a list of the most highlighted projects of this edition will be published.

The board of examiners of the Culturama Award consists of professionals of the youth field of study who belong to collaborating or sponsoring associations. This group will be in charge of selecting the finalist projects and give the awards after the presentation act.
Fourteen Years Supporting Social Youth Innovation
Since its first edition in 2010, Culturama has worked to create spaces of reflection and discussion to improve the youth social context. In these fourteen years, distributed in eight biennial editions, the Culturama Award has established these crucial synergies between the public sector, the voluntary sector, and private companies. These collaborations have been
fundamental not only to manage the award, but also as a goal themselves, promoting a network of solid and stable support for youth initiatives.
The association defines the Culturama Award as something like traditional roofs: built with sustainable materials and designed to protect and adapt in a creative and efficient way. This image reflects the aim to create a protective and safe environment for the youth initiatives that want to face the challenges of the current society.
