On 30 March, the UV-IVAJ Youth Chair gave an informative session in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy on the actions that are being developed within the scope of the Chair.
The director of the Chair, Pau Viguer, and the professors of the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology, Mª José Cantero and Alicia García, gave an interactive and participative lecture in which they informed the attendees about the training, cultural, research and university extension activities carried out by the Youth Chair, aimed at the knowledge and permanent dissemination of the reality of young people and youth policies in the Valencian Community.
Pau Viguer pointed out that the aim of the Chair is “to promote research, the transfer and dissemination of knowledge and training in the field of youth. This initiative must promote the support of young people in the search for their identity, promoting their optimal development, their personal well-being and their social, community and political inclusion”.
The intention of this event was to present the Chair, but also to listen to other voices, to encourage an enriching dialogue from which new proposals and possible lines of action for the Chair could emerge. “It is not a closed proposal, we already have a structure with people who collaborate, lines in progress, we have an identity, but from here on we are open to continue incorporating participation and new ideas”, concluded the director of the Chair, Pau Viguer.
