
On 29 January the Youth Chair Award (third edition), held an event to bestow recognition on the most impressive academic works in the field of youth, and it was held in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Theraphy of the UV.
The event was attended by renowned academic and institutional authorities, such as Rosa Maria Donat Beneito, vice-rrectora Innovation and Transfer of the UV, Vicent Ripoll Gimeno, general director of the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ), and Paz Viguer Seguí, director of the Youth Chair.
During the event, the winners had the opportunity of presenting the most relevant aspects of their researches before reeiving the diplomas. The awards were separated in several cathegories and bestowed in the following order:
- Vocational training final project: Maria Isabel Nieto Gómez, 300 € for her research.
- Undergraduate degree final project: Irina Navarro Montoya, 400 € for her research.
- Master’s degree final project: Rebeca Subsierra Abad, 500 € for her research.
- Doctoral thesis: Sara Arrojo Montilla, 1.000 € for her research.
The projects have been evaluated by a committee of experts who assessed their academic value and their contribution to the knowledge and understanding of the challenges youth faces in our current society.
This award not only acknowledges the effort and dedication of the researchers, but also highlights the importance of research as an essential tool to understand and improve policies and interventions aimed at young people.
